helena serget

Helena Serget came into Newcastle College this week, (13/03/13) and talked about her life so far as an artist. When Helena first graduated she became a theatre wardrobe dresser. She worked with a lot of famous people and met John Galliano, the famous fashion designer. She then thought she would study advertising and ended up working alongside Saatchi and Saatchi. She then went travelling and ended up entering a competition for the company Droog. Helena won this competition and her work to design a tshirt was manufactured. She went back a year later and her work was up on display in the shop. The next part of Helena's life she told us was her pet rat Tony Blair, she said she loved him and he was an artist rat not just a pet. This was so funny when she was telling us and here are some images of the work her pet rat tony made....

Lime Street

I'm a bit late in blogging this but in November 2012 I went down to Lime Street on the Ouseburn Valley to see the open studios. This happens twice a year and all the artists and designers open up their studio and let you see how they work. There were a few designers that I thought were amazing and one that stood out was Helena Serget. She creates a lot of porcelain products which are very unusual but awesome at the same time.  Here are a few images of her work...

This is a journey of my experience of the Lime Street Studios...

Creative CV

Here is my Creative CV, it took a lot of patience and messing around to get ir right, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Its simple and has all the relevant information on, but at the same time eye catching. I have included a range of work at the bottom to show the employees what i can do.

Random photographs..

Here is a collection of photographs I have taken wherever I have been in the last 4 months. It gets my mind flowing of ideas and makes me look around to see what creative things I may find, in places that I walk past or see everyday...
